In Inglourious Basterds, Quentin Tarantino's long-awaited World War II action thriller, Brad Pitt leads a band of Jewish American commandos across the French countryside on a mission to seek out Hitler's minions and literally take their scalps. Part Pulp Fiction, part Dirty Dozen, and all Tarantino, it's an epic piece of moviemaking that the writer-director calls a "spaghetti western but with World War II iconography." Like other classic spaghetti flicks (complete with Morricone soundtrack cues, and the nifty alt title "Once Upon A Time in Nazi Occupied France"), the movie uses its shooting locations to maximum effect. Strap on your combat boots then, and hit the trail with us for a trip down Basterds lane...all the scenery...none of the blood...
